Contribute Feedback What Amie Harvey likes about Whisky Point Grill:
We were traveling up the island on a rainy evening and decided to stop for food. We were pleasantly surprised as the sign said they were closing shortly, but we were warmly greeted and assured we could come in and have a meal. View all feedback.
What Winfield Leannon doesn't like about Whisky Point Grill:
We waited for our food for probably at least 40 minutes. When we got our food it was subpar at best. The waitress didn't do a bad job considering she was the only one working. But when we were finished our meals it was a disaster as the waitress messed up our bills multiple times. Ended up giving us a bit of a discount because of her stupidity. She was apologetic but still was very annoying. I'm sure it's not always... View all feedback.
With our power predicted to be out for 7 hours yesterday morning/afternoon, we decided to head up island from Victoria to Mill Bay for breakfast. Luckily for us, we stumbled upon Murray's Whiskey Point Grill and sat outside on the bricked patio (well, on chairs, actually), taking advantage of a balmy breeze and sunny skies. We ordered the 3-egg omelette with our choice of three fillings, picking a combination of Canadian back bacon, mixed peppers and Feta cheese. The omelette was accompanied by 2 pieces of toast (sourdough, rye or multigrain) slathered with REAL butter, arriving with a caddied selection of 6 jams/jellies/pb/marmalade, diced crispy fried potatoes, and an ample-sized ramekin of ketchup, the plate garnished with an orange slice...all this for $10. Along with steaming hot coffee served in trendy fine-walled white mugs, we found everything to be fresh, filling and fab. We've discovered our 'go to' breakie on the deckie hideaway, although after this review, I suspect it won't be a hideaway much longer!
This restaurant has location, location, location - but due to its poor food quality it will not be more than a third rate place only suited to the kids from the local private school and their unsuspecting families. It has a great outdoor patio which is a stones throw from the beach but it usually sits empty as the locals know about the food. We have also ordered pizza from the pizza place located at same shopping centre and which is also owned by this restaurant's owners, and the pizza was TERRIBLE. Will never order again. Unless you are desperate I would avoid this place.

After reading so many bad reviews we were not sure about this place, but when we asked about it at the local grocery store we were told it was great,so we decided what the heck and headed in for breakfast,we sat on the patio, had a lovely attentive young lady serve us,and our oder taken promptly, the food was cooked just right, brought out hot,and a good sized serving, the price is a tad high for extras but worth it when hungry, well worth eating here, but hey you decide, cheers
I had a ham, cheese omelette and it was so tasteless. Toast was like eating cardboard. Now I'm hearing from friends that is not very good there for any kind of meal. My husband had bacon and eggs. Pale, tasteless eggs and the bacon so hard from deep frying he wouldn't eat it. His toast was like cardboard too.
