We did a wine tasting then it was time for lunch. We made a reservation and we were met in a very friendly manner and shown to our table. Lots on the menu to choose from. My wife had the beetroot falafel and I had...the burger. Both dishes were ample and tasty. The burger was very thick, juicy with all the trimmings. Service was great and we had an enjoyable experience. The Pinot Noir went well with the burger. View all feedback.
My wife and I went to Unsworth Vineyards for our anniversary dinner while visiting on the island. Unsworth was suggested to us by our son. We were not disappointed in the least. Knowing it was our anniversary, the staff put us at a quaint table with the perfect view of the vineyards. It was getting into the evening and and cooling down so they offered us soft blankets as we enjoyed the amazing food (local farm/sea to table) and incredible wine. The hospitality of the wait staff was genuine making the whole experience a wonderful event. We will be back whenever we visit our family on the island. Thanks for the amazing time.
Went here for a nice dinner with my husband, my mum, my 9 year old niece and my two boys. Very happy to see a kids menu and the kids food was high quality. My son had the spaghetti and meatballs and it was delicious and they even brought him some extra shaved Parmesan when he asked for more. He is six, and normally I would expect some Kraft Parmesan cheese for the kids meal, but they don't skimp here. He got the good stuff. We ordered a selection of appetizers to share. My mum liked the lamb croquettes so much that I never even got to taste one. I loved the hand made tortellini with the duck prosciutto. The seared tuna was very good as was the crostini with the white bean and red pepper spread. We also had the steak frites. The steak was cooked perfectly. Finished off the meal with the blueberry lemon pavlova and the blackberry cake. Both delish! The service is good (not obtrusive and not absent) but needs a bit of work. The dishes when they arrive are so beautiful and have so many components that they should be explained. But, they were just dropped off. Also, there are a number of things on the menu that change each day and there was no description provided. We had to ask about the soup, then the sandwich, then the quiche. But I have to say I felt that it was a nice relaxing atmosphere out on the patio. I didn't worry about the kids running and playing in the grass or trying to pat the chickens or the farm cat that are roaming about the Vineyard.Overall an excellent experience and I would go back next time I'm in Shawnigan Lake. Hope you enjoy.
This lovely old house in a vineyard is a wonderful place for lunch or dinner. Very calm, restful and scenic. The food is extraordinary. Great tastes and fine presentation! The service was superb. Their wine is also very good. The lunch special of soup, salad and sandwich was awesome.
A friend and I met here for lunch. We sat outdoors on a lovely deck with a view of the vineyards and the chickens running free. I had the Fanny Bay Manilla Clams and she had the soup salad and quiche. Both were excellent, with large portions which justified the somewhat high price. For dessert my friend had the Blueberry Lemon Pavlova and I, the creme brulee. Both were fabulous. My meal (clams, creme brulee and coffee totaled $42. and my friend's was about the same. Definitely not a cheap meal, but I for one skipped dinner! I would recommend Unsworth for aa nice meal out.
Unsworth Vinyard Restaurant is is one of my favourite stops for lunch either with friends visiting from out of town or just a girls' afternoon out for some of the best wine on the island ,fresh, appetizing food and friendliness.I highly recommend a stop to the wine tasting room adjacent to the restaurant before or after your meal ...friendly aftmospher and very knowledgeable staff about the region and the different wines they produce. You may just find a unique new wine to tease your pallet. It is advisable to make a luncheon reservation and insure the wine tasting room is available too.A mini golf area (with a twist ... I will keep you in suspense) outside the wine tasting room along with a picnic area to relax and enjoy the serenity and landscape of your surroundings.
