Hosuka Japanese restaurant - Mill Bay

Average prices, nice find for a small town, but do not expect exotic menu items. Sashimi was reasonably fresh. This is a place for a quick bite, do not expect anything too fancy

Food was good, sushi rolls, sashimi, teriyaki. Small restaurant with few tables but take away is popular. They had no sake which we thought odd. Certainly would come back or order takeaway.

Hosuka is a fairly new restaurant to the Shawnigan Lake area and it has superb fresh food with fabulous flavors...it is small and has limited seating....take out is popular with the locals...

Went for lunch to celebrate a friend's birthday and it was the best! The 'birthday girl' received special attention from the chef and there was even a happy birthday banner on the window behind our table. The various sushi rolls were delicious and beautifully presented. Tempura salmon, cod and prawns arrived fresh. A bonus was the salad topped with black sesame dressing. The finale, a complimentary warm cup of sake to celebrate the occasion.
