Next door to our regular supermarket, felt like a custard tart, which Hang bakery sell! Friendly lady behind the counter - must've been off somewhere afterwards as she was well made up - served me and at $2.40 I think good value. I also picked up shortbread biscuits with chocolate coated ends for the 'family'! Enjoyed the custard tart a bit later in the day at home. Perhaps the custard a tad viscous (runny) but yummy nonetheless
Potentially the best Vietnamese rolls outside the CBD. Definitely the best for a very wide radius. Wait times are often long at lunch, but with good reason. Every variety of roll offered is wonderful, with a good balance of meat and vegetables, and prices are low to the point of maybe being unfair to the owners. Noodle bowl is also recommended, as are the chicken fingers and spring rolls. Pies are pretty underwhelming, but the rolls are so good it doesn't matter.
Based on the high reviews and ratings from friends recommending this place I had to try the Crispy pork banh-mi and it didn't fail to disappoint. Goes by the name roast pork Vietnamese roll. Loved the crispy skin thrown in it and the freshness of the coriander and chillie. Perfect lunch for less than $5 in this beach town!
