Fantastic Breakie, Great Lunch. We tried the cafe bakery on our last visit to Mildura about a month ago... It was the first time we'd been there in approx 2 3 years. This place really surprised me! Going back to our first visit... it was nothing special... but, this time around it was amazing! We ate here 3 times, twice for breakfast and once for lunch and I can not say enough good things about it! Really glad I deci... View all feedback.
Popular breakfast brunch spot in central Mildura. The mushrooms with goats cheese was delicious and fresh (although they could have been more generous with the toast). Service was attentive and the food arrived within minutes of ordering. They also stock cakes from Brunetti's which sealed the deal for me.
We were put on a nice table in the middle of the space, giving me plenty of opportunities to observe and wonder and contemplate and assess. The breakfast menu is expansive and had all the familiar classics as well as a more interesting range of items. T was feeling particularly indulgent and ordered the French Toast with GF bread. It came with a generous dollop of ricotta and drizzled with a plenty of honey. It was quite decadent and certainly made my smoked salmon on potato rosti seem a comparatively lighter option. Both were beautifully constructed dishes, exhibiting a sound appreciation for texture and taste, employing good quality ingredients. Brunch was ever so pleasant and certainly a wonderful way to begin our time in Mildura!
Only coffee i'll drink in Mildura is from here.. I love this place. I'm a part local (was relocated to Mildura temporarily for work), and miss living in a city with myriad of great coffee choices. Stefano's, however, deliver. The staff are amazing, and produce consistently great coffee (i'm looking at Emma, Curtis and Grace). I'm a milky coffee drinker, but have taken friends here who love their espressos, and they all agree with me. They do a pretty good breakfast, and fantastic bakery products as well. Well worth heading over.
I was a bit hesitant when I saw that this cafe rated only 3.5 on here, but so did a lot of others. I checked other sites and it rated really well, so decided to give it a try. Ambience is great, every bit as comfortable as a big city cafe. Seated quickly, coffee order taken and they arrived quickly. Coffee was outstanding, lovely flavor and the right strength. We both ordered poached eggs dishes, mine the Calabrese and my wife the spiced. Both were well cooked, well presented and very tasty. This certainly ranks among the best breakfasts I have had and I think it’s current rating is understating how good this cafe is. A bit on the more expensive side, about $60 for 2, but the quality service is worth the money. Very, very good.
We were in Mildura for three days only and loved our first breakfast at Stefano’s Cafe so much that we came back for the next two breakfasts as well! The coffee was fabulous and the staff were excellent every time. I particularly enjoyed the spiced quinoa porridge.
