Last night we decided to try this new restaurant, advertised on ViviMilano. Advertised as reasonably-priced real homecooking. Well, the menu is definitely original. The prices are as written on the menu. Reasonable, no doubt. Unfortunately, they have the Specials Board which doesn 't clearly show the prices. Therefore, you can go from a reasonably priced entree (18€ to an outrageous (30€ entree on the board (donkey rib, all bone and fat , which as I said, was not clearly stated. That 's quite a jump from good old homecooking to haute cuisine prices. If you 're looking for homecooking, the food definitely fits the bill. Just beware of the Blackboard

This restaurant is a hidden gem. We had a lovely evening with great food, wine and service. It was our first night in Milan after a long day of travel from Canada. We felt welcomed and enjoyed the traditional Milanese food on a quiet side street with our daughter and her boyfriend. They have been attending school in Milan and told us about this restaurant.

Excellent typical Milanese food in a nice and warm environment.

A charming little shop serving delicious Milanese dishes. Fast service, friendly and discreet waiters. Lunch menu for €10, including water and coffee.

I'd been wanting to go in for a while... Today, among other things, I'd promised myself I wouldn't eat meat, so I wasn't in the best position to test out this place that arose from the ashes of a butcher shop... The fact that homemade pastrami was on the menu convinced me to go in. The two of us ordered: pastrami, puntarelle salad, and onion soup. The pastrami was good, but I didn't like the combination of crème fraîche and fermented red cabbage it was served with. Personal taste, eh? The puntarelle were decent, but the onion soup, although served according to the rules, was sour and we sent it back to the kitchen. The owner apologized and offered us a portion of homemade apple pie, but the fact remains that the soup wasn't even worth serving because it had gone bad. It can happen, but if the dishes are tasted in the kitchen, at least they don't end up in the dining room. The wines were good. The service and atmosphere were simple but pleasant.
