The restaurant is one minute was... read more We ate here on a Saturday night in December. Apparently this area is not known for good restaurants, but we really enjoyed it. The restaurant is one minute was from the Best Western Hotel, behind a big wall. It was dark so may not be easy to find, but probably great in the summer as the building is surrounded by a garden. The space is high and the walls covered in art. We arrived early without booking, which was a risk. The table we were on was booked from 22.30, so we were OK, but do book if you are arriving later. All of the staff were really lovely and spoke excellent English, which helped with out non existent Italian. I have read reviews that suggested the service was slow and the staff less than polite, but this was not our experience. The service was fantastic, the waitresses lovely and the portions huge. Do be careful, the portions are HUGE. We would have been happy with one starter and one main course between the two of us maybe the Italians have big appetites? There is an extensive cocktail and beer menu. We had two delicious cocktails, but the beer looked good, we're just not big beer drinkers. Overall we were really happy with our choice and would highly recommend this restaurant. The only downside was we didn't have any cash and couldn't add a tip to the bill when we paid by card. I still feel guilty.

We... read more You would not guess this interesting restaurant was hidden inside the slightly rough walls around a huge garden/ allotment where they grow some off the food. We really enjoyed the eclectic atmosphere . The staff were very good /helpful. It would have been nice had the tender roast beef been hot/warm with the gnocchi and salad. Our other dish was good ravioli. Wine good value/ price for Milan. A pleasant evening.
