Visited Milan for a few nights and researched places to eat before we arrived. I had booked this restaurant well in advance to ensure we had a table, as reports suggested it was a very popular venue. I was excited to visit Rebelot as some of the reviews I had read online where very promising. Since booking the reservation I noticed a few negative comments about various topics, I didn't let this stop me going as I wanted to try it for myself. Me my partner decided to go for the gastronomic menu which is what attracted me to the restaurant in the first place. We had 5 courses for €48 each. The positives are that the ingredients tasted fresh there was a degree of inventiveness and the service was ok. The negatives are mainly in the execution, all 5 dishes lacked seasoning (there aren't any salt pepper offered at the table) the size of the dishes are very small even for a 5 course meal there isn't enough elements to some of the dishes which resulted in an imbalance of flavour. This restaurant has potential but I wouldn't visit again if I ever visited Milan unless the reviews change dramatically as I left feeling I didn't get value for money. Approx €125 with a bottle of prosecco we left still hungry underwhelmed.
Great place to grab a beer or watch a football match. Awesome bartenders and attracts a great local crowd. Right across the street from a killer pizza place called S.P.I.B.
We are going very often to Rebel8 with friends, mostly during weekend time. we do like this pub chiefly because the atmosphere is very informal and genuine: Mario is a very peculiar and kind person who's always doing his best to make us feeling like at home. the easy-to-get formula made by couple of beers with piadina during happy hour time is one of the best choice to find here
I was in Milan for a lads weekend on the hunt for a place to watch the football. We left our hotel (J24 Hotel Milano) after just a short walk we came across Bar Rebelot so thought we’d duck our heads in and have a beer while we looked at some options. We were greeted by an absolute legend Mario. Who turned out to be the owner and also spoke perfect English. We were welcomed with open arms. The bar is reminiscent of local English pub with a great selection of beers and spirits. There was a big screen to watch the football. During the game we wanted some food and this didn’t disappoint either. After the game there ended up being some live music and the atmosphere was brilliant. If you’re in Milan I’d recommend checking it out
If you’re in Milan, you have to check Bar Rebelot out! Whether it’s a tasty coffee and a friendly chat, or a couple of beers and a bite to eat whilst watching the footy, this place has everything! The owner Mario is a legend, super friendly, like his staff, and they play loads of great tunes too
