We loved this place and agree we don't understand the mixed reviews. We sat on the outside patio and got the tasting menu with wine pairings. The tasting menu allows you to customize your choices, and the server made some excellent suggestions including the traditional risotto which was amazing. The smoked trout entree was truly one of the best cooked fish dishes I've ever had. The sommelier also suggested a unique, really good red wine to go with our dessert, based on my husband's request for something other than the usual dessert wine. Would definitely go back here.
In the shadow of the Bosco Verticale in an urban park, this restaurant does not feel as if it is in the middle of a big city. The setting is very pretty. Both food and wine selections were more than adequate and the service was very good.
Best place I have visited so far in Italy. We are both vegetarian and they were very accommodating, offering us lots of options. We ordered minestrone, tomato risotto and ravioli, all were delicious, minestrone being my favourite. We then ordered the panna cotta, which was very nice, but would have been better without all the berries and nuts/granola around it which over-powered the panna cotta (even though the nuts and berries were nice). Overall, very impressed and do not understand their low rating, perhaps a change of staff or management.
We had the lunch tasting menu. The meal started out excellent; the liver mousse toast was very tasty, followed by celeriac and cheese fondue. The risotto and bone marrow was a perfect representation of risotto Milanese. Then chicken, which was cooked perfectly but served with 2 different types of potatoes. Pre dessert was yogurt with granola and frozen raspberry I didn’t understand this. The granola made it feel both heavy and like breakfast. Dessert wasn’t much better with rice pudding and hazelnuts. The hazelnut syrup was the star there. Drinks were good and service unremarkable.
I 've been following Cesare Battisti for a while; his cuisine intrigued me, and I wanted to try it for lunch. Expectations were very high, and... they weren 't disappointed. Congratulations to everyone. More than a brigade, it was an army of attentive and harmonious young people... and then the food, speechless. Excellent products, expertly cooked and presented. The only drawback... I don 't eat meat, and I would have expected more choice. Parking... A slap in the face to whoever wrote difficulties, etc. There are two different parking lots 50 meters away, of course, paid, but that 's the case everywhere in Milan. Let 's hope for the next administration, but that has nothing to do with this... All things considered, it was a positive experience and definitely worth trying. Well done everyone.
