There are a number of bars in the Corso Como which seems to be a traditional Milanese street that just managed to survive the wholesale regeneration of the area into a financial district. We sat outside under heat lamps and had a couple of glasses of a decent white wine each and watched the life of the city mostly professional thirty somethings heading home from the office and stopping to chat or snatching an aperitivo. The bar man was very pleasant when we declined the aperitivo we got extra large glasses of wine for Euro 5 each and watched as those who had paid the Eur 10 for the aperitivo version pile their plates high a couple of times from the well laid out buffet. Shame that one consequence of this system is that people take more than they really need and so there was a lot of food left on plates. We were more than happy with the wine and the ambience.
We came here because we had arrived at the train station around lunch time but couldn't check-in at Airbnb until later. It is a 3-5 minute walk from the station and the seating outside allowed space for our big suitcases. The lasagne and the carbonara were edible, along the lines of supermarket prepared food. The portions were satisfying. The profiterole dessert was frozen. The service was attentive and quick.
We passed by just for fun!!!Music was really bad . We asked for 2 drinks yellow tequillas. They gave us white tequillas, but they served us 2 whites and they insisted that they were yellow.lol We were in a very good mood and we did not want to continue this conversation. It would be better not cheating clients in order to avoid troubles in the future!!!
Just took a Spritz for 6 Euro. Surprisingly good price given the location. Got some crisps and bruschetta too.. Don't overlook if you want a Spritz and think it might cost too much due to where it is..!
