A party of us went to Lew Hoads in Mijas for Lunch, to celebrate a friends Birthday, the Birthday Girl had been there before and this was my first time, we were... read more A party of us went to Lew Hoads in Mijas for Lunch, to celebrate a friends Birthday, the Birthday Girl had been there before and this was my first time, we were the only people in the restaurant and found that the abeyance, decor and surroundings quite pleasant Then it went down hill, from the Menu at my end of the table 3 of us ordered Pork Escalopes Cooked in Wine with veggies at €13.50, now it no good when your plate arrives and it looks good enough to take a photo of unless it tastes good. Pork Escalopes feature on practically every Restaurants Menu in Spain and it’s a dish I’m quite partial to as they normally come with a sauce. Well I cut into an Escalope!!! No I didn’t, I had to saw my way through it, and when I put it into my mouth, it then had to be Chewed and Chewed. In all my time living in Spain this was the WORST PORK ESCALOPE I have ever tasted, Tough is not the word for it as you could probably have used them as Sole Shoes, My 2 friends Pork Escalopes were the same with one of the saying it was tougher then a Steak, will I recommend it maybe, will I come again possibly, would I have the Pork Escalopes NO, the only reason we did not complain at the time was we didn’t want to spoil the Party

The bar is well s... read more Went to the club to use the gym smashing little, well equipped gym with a very friendly helpful fitness manager, Eva who was really welcoming. The bar is well stocked, from good coffee to great wines a full spirit selection. There is a super salad menu, plus other foods all served in a really beautiful restaurant, or on the sun terraces by smiling waiters. We went in the morning, so there was a buzzing atmosphere with people playing tennis padel all ages seemed represented most seemed to stay for a drink afterwards. Will definitely return, and soon!
