The place is quiet and enjoyable. The couple of times we have been there we have seen mexican soap opera actresses. It is a good place to have a romantic dinner or dinner with the family. They have good spanish tapas and great wines. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about La Mallorquina:
Well made Spanish cuisine, but nothing special. Ibérico ham was average, kind of dry. Salpicón was very good but it had small pieces of crab shells which was disgusting. The calamari was good. Nice wine list, mostly Spanish. Waitress service was excellent. There are better Spanish options in Mexico City. View all feedback.
There is a non-smoking sign on the very entrance, yet their maitre'd allowed people to smoke cigars and cigarettes inside. Service seems to be at par with Polanco area restaurants, food is mediocre, yet the staff seem to be helpless with their smoking patrons. I...would avoid this place if smoking irritates your eating experience! Never again!
I stopped in today for a glass of wine. This is a beautiful spot across from Lincoln Park. It is an open, covered patio. The service was excellent, friendly and caring. They have a wonderful wine list and the menu is excellent. I relaxed and...enjoyed people watching for the better part of hours. I will come back. It is a beautiful spot.
Nice place, food average, service excellent, fabada Asturiana really bad, meat very good, Turron Ice cream excellent, the cooking can be improved with better recipes, or a really good spanish chef. Really the Fabada was very bad
Excellent lunch with people. Food was as excellent as with any of the very good Spanish restaurants in Madrid. Wait staff always attentive and quick. Saw some local celebrities eating lunch next to us too!
My co-worker and I have been here a few times over the last few months. We like the place a lot. On this occasion we also took my partner. It is a Spanish restaurant which makes it a little different from the many restaurants in close proximity.Service is good, there is one lady who more than once has gone out of the way to explain the dishes in detail in English. That is so much more helpful than a directly translated menu into English offered by many. My colleague loves the lamb chops and my partner and I love the fish. Several choices of fish available and it comes properly cooked, we could alter the dish if we wanted. Our project will last a few weeks more and we are likely to be back here again.
