Excellent food, high-end Spanish tavern type. Very attentive service. Small place, which makes it attractive, perhaps a bit clogged up between tables, but in its case, makes it more appealing, given the attendees. Not too expensive, considering it's in the trendiest section of the city. Good value, great spot to spend an afternoon. View all feedback.
What cdecarde doesn't like about El Chanclas:
After trying the original locale in La Condesa, which has been consistently good, the Polanco site is plain at best. Out of 8 different dishes 7 were lacking “sazon”... “tasteless” would describe them. View all feedback.
Excellent wine cellar, staff is very friendly and will recommend basis on your likes and dislikes. I will defiantly will go back.
I didn't try the food, but it's a fun place to meet up with friends for drinks. The indoor decor is fun and modern and there are outdoor seats as well.
Chanclas offered ggood Spanish food in Mexico City in it two locations (Polanco and Condesa) in the tradition of Casa Lucio, Service is good and friendly. It is small and normally full so if posible make a reservation.
