If I could give 10 stars I would. <br/ I haven't been back to the restaurant since before the lockdown and decided to try it out again when I saw them on UberEats. <br/ I have ordered the chicken salad twice and the quality has been amazing each time. My fiance loved the sushi as well. <br/ <br/ The portions are good, the food us fresh and when its delivered it's still warm. <br/ <br/
Big Bad Wolf is probably the restaurant we 've returned to the most number of times! The reason is simple, if you 've got a craving for superb pizza, Big Bad Wolf will always have you covered. <br/ <br/ As much as I actually roll my eyes at the term (and although I 'm not above using it! , this is a true hidden gem. This charming and stylishly decorated pizza spot and bar is at the Crowthorne Shopping Centre, a strip mall (do we use that term in SA? just past the bigger Kyalami Corner Shopping Centre. <br/ <br/ We popped in for an early Sunday lunch, and as usual, it was everything we needed in our lives! BBW 's menu is concise, but in my mind, it isn 't a problem. My sentiment always is that it shows that the menu is tried, tested and perfected. Although there are only a handful of pizzas on the menu, I still found it difficult to choose. The waitress obviously noticed by distress, and recommended that I take a half and half option. Yay! One half 'Boris ' (Tomato, Salami, Danish, Feta, Caramelized Jalapeno and one half 'Fifer ' (tomato, anchovies, olives, chilli . If you 've got an anchovy craving to satisfy, this is it! Super tasty, just bursting with flavour! And no, I can 't choose a favourite. Armed with takeaways, we vowed to be back soon! I was excited to see that they 're opening a new branch at Cedar Square soon, I can 't wait to check it out. <br/ <br/ • Ambience: Casual, beautiful decor <br/ <br/ • Service: Friendly, efficient <br/ <br/ • Menu Variety: Concise, including pizza, 2 desserts and salad options <br/ <br/ • Food: Tasty, well-prepared with quality ingredients. <br/ <br/ Drinks: a good variety, including cocktails and an impressive gin collection.
14.04.2019 This little piggy isn’t afraid of the Big Bad Wolf in fact she boldy went there and indulged in some great Pizza and Desserts!<br/ <br/ This quaint Pizza shop is situated in Crowthorne Shopping Centre. It has been years since I was last this side of town. It’s got a limited menu i.e 10 Pizza options, and I would say that the types of Pizza’s on offer are more for the adventurous kind of palette, as it’s not your usual toppings. They also have 3 types of Salads and 2 Desserts, and then cocktails.<br/ <br/ To start off with Drinks, I noticed the Moscow Mule on the menu (single batch imported Vodka, Lime Juice, Ginger Beer and Soda. So I couldn’t say no to this, even though between Pete and Lee, they mentioned a new cocktail called the Black Widow, which my sister decided to give it a try. Activated Charcoal, Spiced Rum, Triple Sec, Lime juice, Honey Syrup, Agnostura Bitters, finished off with Egg Whites. It tasted ok, I wasn’t completely sold, even though it looked stunning, I much rather enjoyed my Moscow Mule.<br/ <br/ As you know I am a bacon lover, I had to order the “Percy” – Tomato, Streaky Bacon, Roasted Asparagus (yes I was sceptical about this part , Caramelised Red Onions, Danish Feta, Avo, and Fior Di Latte Mozzarella. Gorgeous looking Pizza, thin base crust, amazing aromas, and loved the combination of the toppings, and my bacon was cooked properly. The Asparagus was luckily the baby ones, so it wasn’t a major feature on the pizza. My sister had the “Boris” Tomato, Salami, Danish Feta, Caramelised Jalapeno Chilli as well as the Mozzarella. Also, lovely thin crust, amazing flavour and my sister loved it.<br/ We didn’t polish off the entire pizza, as we wanted to try the desserts, so we asked Lee for one of each. Beautifully presented, perfectly executed, the smell from the Passion Fruit was lovely, and it had that “sexy” wobble as one of my fellow foodies like to call it. I think the only issue we had was the Crème Brulee’s caramelized sugar topping was a bit too hard to “crack”, but it terms of texture and taste it was spot on.<br/ <br/ To end off the meal, Pete convinced us to try there locally roasted Coffee’s. So we both had a Cappuccino, personally it was a bit too strong for me, but for the Coffee lovers, it will be a goodie.<br/ <br/ Thanks to Sune, Pete and Lee, for a lovely afternoon, Fabulous Pizza’s and indulgent Dessert.<br/ <br/ Happy to know there is another branch opening In Cedar Square soon, so go and check em out!.<br/ <br/ #TheFoodMusketeer<br/ #TheFoodMusketeerEats<br/ #TheFoodMusketeerDrinks<br/ #TheFoodMusketeerApproved<br/ #TFMBigBadWolf
