We had been hesitant to visit due to some negative feedback we hear... read more This was our first time at the restaurant, and Ryan was our waiter—he took great care of us! We had been hesitant to visit due to some negative feedback we heard when they first opened, but those concerns turned out to be unfounded. All of our food selections were excellent, including the crab soup, birria egg rolls, Korean rib eye, and rock steak—everything was absolutely delicious! We also tried a few refreshing spring drinks from the bar, which were another fantastic choice. The dining room was a bit chilly, and the chairs weren't the most comfortable, but those were the only drawbacks we encountered. While the prices are on the higher side, we believe it’s worth it! We will definitely be coming back!

I decided to order... read more I ordered shrimp and grits, which were served lukewarm. When I inquired about bread accompanying the meal, I was told there wouldn't be any. I decided to order bread separately, but we only received two biscuits that were also not warm. As a result, we didn't eat much of anything. When the bill came, it totaled over $58. The food was only warm, and the biscuits cost $5 for just two, which did not even come with the jam that was supposed to be included. We couldn't help but wonder why the restaurant wasn't busy for a Sunday brunch at 1 PM. Overall, it was the worst meal I've ever had. Meal type: Brunch. Price per person: $50–100. Date: 05/21/2023.

When we pointed out the uneven portion sizes between two identical menu items, we were told it was due to the chef’s decision on plating. While the gnocchi was wonderfully soft, the creamy sauce was overwhelmingly rich without any contrast. Unless the corn was puréed, I didn't taste or see it, which would have provided a much-needed break from the heaviness. Parking: There was plenty of available parking. For dinner, I had a chicken breast (which, to be honest, made me think twice about going to a place called the Shaved Duck for chicken) served with mashed sweet potatoes and an incredible sauce that was out of this world. Everyone’s meals looked amazing and I could tell they tasted just as good! For dessert, I went with the carrot cake, which was a generous portion that we all shared. We concluded our meal with the Mexican Jumping Bean cocktail, which looked quite different from what I had anticipated but was fantastic in flavor! The service was excellent, and the staff was very friendly. I would HIGHLY recommend this restaurant to anyone!

Their brunch menu is fantastic, with so many tasty options that I ended up choosing a variety of à la carte items. The smoked cheddar grits were incredible—without a doubt the best I've ever had, and I can't stop thinking about them! I also tried two cocktails: the "Blackberry Beret" and the "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go," and both were absolutely delightful. The restaurant was spotless, the service was excellent, and I never felt rushed during my meal. This might just become my new favorite brunch spot in town! I'm looking forward to going back soon.

My wife ordered the Airline Chicken, which I initially thought was just basic chicken. To my surprise, it turned out to be incredibly delicious. Plus, the bartender always excels at creating unique cocktails. If you choose the Dealer's Choice, you won't be disappointed. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. I always look forward to coming here.

The huge carrot cake dessert was more than ample for two, with a lighter touch of icing than usual. They have a nice selection of wines and draft beers, but the specialty cocktails are the real feature. The 'smoked ' Old Fashioned was a superior and memorable libation.

The wine selection was excellent, and the food presentation and table settings were very appealing. Everything was also quite clean. I tried the chicken gnocchi and carrot cake, and both were fantastic. The gnocchi dish had a variety of textures that complemented each other nicely. I will definitely be back to this restaurant!

Both the duck hash and the duck and waffle were incredibly tasty, although there wasn't much duck meat in the hash. The waffle was a bit dry, but the pickles on top added an interesting flavor twist. I also highly recommend their bread board! Everything is made in-house, and everything on the board is absolutely delicious!
