Laughter and conversation fill the air as diners savor flavorful seafood infused with Spanish Caribbean influences. Charming potted aloe plants dot the space, adding character to the lively atmosphere, while colorful wooden planks—painted in shades of red, green, yellow, and blue—adorn the walls. Each table is illuminated by the soft glow of candlelight. Ladies and gentlemen of Discovering RVA, I present to you my first dining experience of 2020, The Fish, or should I say, Pescados. @eatpescados **Appetizer**: Conch Fritters – A delightful plate of warm, Turks and Caicos-style conch fritters served with a spicy yet subtly sweet mango habanero aioli for dipping. I first tasted conch in Bermuda, and these were just as amazing! **Entrée**: Mahi St. Martin – A mouthwatering yuca coriander-crusted mahi, beautifully arranged over a fluffy bed of herbed quinoa and accompanied by freshly grilled broccoli, all enveloped in a zesty coconut curry. Oh my goodness, fam! This dish right here… it’s pure FIRE! **Wine Pairing**: A glass of 2018 Albariño, Peitán, from the Viña Winery, D.O. Rías Baixas, Spain. A special shout-out to Kim—don’t be mad that I strayed from your recommendations! LOL! Seriously, thank you for your suggestions, warm hospitality, impeccable service, and the good laughs! I’ll definitely be back so someone can try the Voodoo Shrimp @batdorfnrobin. #discoveringrva #804 #va #virginia #rva #richmond #richmondva #rvadine #rvaeats #Rvafood #food #foodies #foodshare #foodstagram #foodiesofinstagram #yummy #foodblog #foodblogger #foodlover #foodpost #foodography #delicious #delish #foodpic #eating #foodandwine #eeeeeats #foodiegram #igfood #forkyeah
The restaurant offers creative and delicious dishes made with high-quality ingredients. The chef and owner occasionally comes out to chat with diners, making for a truly enjoyable experience.
If you're in Midlothian, you must stop by and try their latest menu addition: an Angus beef burger topped with grilled pineapple, pickled red onions, jack cheese, and a mango habanero aioli, accompanied by French fries. The patty is freshly made and cooked to order, while the sweetness of the pineapple adds a delightful flavor.
Had a great time with friends! The food was delicious, the drinks were excellent, and we shared plenty of laughs.
I will not be going back anytime soon. This use to be a gem of a restaurant in Midlothian, too bad. The food lacked flavor. I did not mind being served on a small paper plate but my oysters were cold and had no taste. Nothing like it use to be a few years ago. This was the first restaurant we have been to in months and we were so disappointed.
