Padow's Hams Deli - Midlothian

Usually the sandwiches are good but today I was very disappointed there were 2 pieces of turkey, one piece of lettuce, a tomato and 2 pieces of cheese. I ordered a turkey sandwich and expected more turkey than cheese, all I tasted was cheese. They use to give you enough turkey to call it a deli sandwich, the sandwich today was not a deli sandwich. I even commented when I picked my sandwich up that it didn't feel thick enough and I was right. I gave 3 stars because normally it is good, if I do go back and get another poor sandwich I will change to 1 star. If they start making sandwiches like they use to I will change it to 5 stars.

This is a really nice deli with a modest but clean sunny eating area. They have a very nice selection of freshly made sandwiches and packaged salads. Their Reuben sandwich and southern style potato salad are very good. You can also buy whole hams. Ample parking and pleasant personnel.

The quality had really gone downhill and the service too. The sandwiches barely have more than a slice of meat on them and the last few times the lettuce on a cold sandwich was very wilted. Also, whilr I know how difficult it is to find good service, when you have a customer call you and specifically ask you to set aside a large container of soup and offer to pay for it, you should ensure the soup is put aside. Got there to an employee indicating she had not done that and act shocked the soup container was empty. And two weeks ago, 2 out of 3 sandwich orders were incorrect. When my Mother in law called, she was told bring in the receipt and we will refund you . At 82 years old, she is not going to go out AGAIN for $15! Needless to say, not only was a sale lost today over the soup, but now two customers are also lost. My Mother in law and I will both visit other area restaurants. Sorry Padow 's, but you are just not cutting it anymore.

Went here for the first time today! Will definitely be going back. I got potato salad as a side with my ham, provolone cheese, tomato, lettuce and mayo sandwich which I highly recommend! I got it toasted as well. Also came with a pickle on the side that I was not expecting but not complaining! Great deli! Super tasty. ?

Excellent ham-and-deli-meat-based sandwich shop! Also have soups. Friendly service and they bring your food to your table. Will return!
