The manager, Amari, always seems to have a rude demeanor, even when the restaurant isn't busy. Her attitude is consistently dismissive. While the food here is excellent, don't expect it to be made with care when she's around. Typically, I overlook her behavior during our visits because I don't take it personally, but today was the final straw. Our pizza took nearly an hour to arrive. The way she managed the situation was very unprofessional; she's the only staff member I've ever had an issue with. It's hard to understand how she became a manager. For a long time, I thought she was just a typical disgruntled young employee, but now she is in charge? It's no wonder they were running an hour behind on a simple cheese pizza. She doesn't seem qualified for the role and clearly can't handle the pressure of the kitchen. In short, my pizza was never even started, despite ordering it online at 6:52 PM. I arrived at 7:25 PM and after waiting another 10-15 minutes, it still wasn't being prepared.
The staff was friendly, but the service was incredibly slow, and the salad was definitely not fresh—it honestly tasted quite unpleasant. On the positive side, the pizza was quite good, and the toppings were fresh, although the selection was limited. Overall, the prices were on the high side for two pizzas and a salad we didn't even eat. I wouldn't want to return.
This was my first visit, and I brought a mentor along with me. We went to the Midlothian location, where we stood in a short line to place our order. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and patient as we decided what to get. There’s a fantastic variety of vegetables for anyone who is vegetarian, and they even offer a meat substitute—how awesome is that? The portions were quite generous, and the food was fantastic! The staff were incredible, and the setup of the restaurant was lovely. I appreciated that the food was handled with gloves. I was really torn about whether to give this a 5-star rating or a 1-star rating because so many aspects matter!
I absolutely love the pizza at this place! The crust is incredible—I'll describe it as thin, although you can order a thicker version for an additional charge. Normally, I prefer thick crust, but I would choose their thin crust every time. The pizzas are more of an individual size, so keep that in mind when placing your order. You mainly pay for the crust, and any toppings you want come at no extra cost, which is fantastic; I really dislike it when I have to pay a lot for just a few extra pepperoni, like at some of the larger chains. The staff here are friendly and efficient as well. Expect to spend around $10 per person.
