I had a fantastic experience at Minji's, a Korean Fusion restaurant in Midland, Ontario. The Bibimbap meal I had was not only beautiful, but also delicious. It was a colorful dish, with a variety of vegetables and meat served underneath a fried egg. The rice had a unique and delicious flavor that I couldn't quite place. The portion was very filling too! The husband and wife owners were very welcoming, friendly, and patient as I browsed through the menu filled with mouth-watering photos. With only two tables in the restaurant, it seems like they mostly focus on take-out orders. I will definitely be returning to Minji's when I visit Midland again!
We tried the Dynamite and MJ rolls bento, which were delicious. The Dynamite roll had perfect rice texture, although a touch of rice vinegar would have enhanced it. The MJ roll, with crab salad and spicy mayo, was a fun and interesting combination. The bento also included dumplings, jap chae with vermicelli noodles, edamame, and miso soup, all of which were great. We rated it 4.5/5. The Spicy Seafood jjampong was another hit, with a good amount of seafood and vegetables in a spicy udon noodle soup. Be aware that it can be quite spicy. We gave it a 4/5. The Tofu ramen, while tasting like typical instant ramen, had a flavorful broth and tofu pieces along with veggies, earning it a 4/5. Prices were reasonable, around $18-$22 per dish before tax and tip. Overall, Min Ji's offers a unique dining experience with a mix of Korean, Japanese, and Canadian flavors.
I love this restaurant! The food is amazing and the owners are fantastic. I try to go as often as possible, it's just too bad they don't have sit-in dining anymore.
Disgusting dirty place. They don't clear off your table because you don't get a bill and they want to count your dirty dishes to see what you have eaten when you have to go up to the counter to pay. Food is sub par. If you don't have taste buds then this is the place for you
