I received excellent service after being turned away from a nearby pub because I had just missed their service time. Even though the kitchen was still open, I couldn't get a meal there. However, when I came to the Greyhound, despite the chef having left for the day, the friendly bar staff were more than happy to help me out. That's what true hospitality is all about! What Louise Graham dislikes about The Greyhound:
The food was quite enjoyable, but the staff could benefit from some basic customer service training, and a better understanding of the menu would have been helpful as well. Price per person: £10–20. Food: 4/5. Service: 2/5. Atmosphere: 3/5. View all feedback.

Frankie, the owner (not manager) of the Royal Oak, could learn a lot about customer treatment from the lovely woman working here today. A big thank you to the Greyhound!
The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and decor, with bright lighting and attentive table service. My friend ordered the pork, which was excellent. Unfortunately, the gluten-free cod I tried was a bit too thick for my liking.
First visit today in this country pub. it was a good sound as good eating beer and dog friendly. we had 2 x fish chips and 1 x chicken schnitzelburger, all very tasty. we had 2 drinks each having a dark chocolate dessert (amuse! the bill was £62 for 3 people. 5 but had been 1 star for lack of allergens on the menu, although waitress went and in the kitchen when asked about dishes.
Absolutely fantastic experience! The food wasOutstanding, the service was top-notch, and the overall atmosphere was delightful. The cost per person is around £50-60. Rating: Food: 5/5, Service: 5/5, Atmosphere: 5/5. Highly recommended!
