Description
WesWings, nestled behind Wesleyan University's Writer's Block dorms, offers a diverse menu catering to students with an appetite for fried delights. While the restaurant garners mixed reviews, its casual ambiance and student-friendly prices attract many. Diners enjoy options like flavorful chicken wings and savory sandwiches, although some meals have been criticized for inconsistency and overcooked items. WesWings, also known as Swings, is a popular spot at Wesleyan University known for its student-friendly atmosphere and operating schedule. It is often crowded with students, as it accepts meal plan points and Middletown cash. Non-students can pay with cash. The food is decent, slightly better than dining hall fare. For those craving quality wings or burgers, a visit to Mondos on Main Street may be a better choice. However, for students with points to spare or limited time, WesWings is a convenient option. The specials at WesWings redeem the lackluster burgers and wings. The salmon and mashed potatoes dish I tried was exceptional, though a bit pricey at over $15. Adding a drink and dessert could bring the total to over $30 for two. The staff at WesWings are friendly and helpful, making it a pleasant dining experience on campus.
I thoroughly enjoyed the fresh, hot, and delicious food at this restaurant. As a student at Wesleyan, it was a refreshing change from the standard Usdan fare. The crispy mozzarella sticks paired perfectly with the marinara sauce. The Wings of Death were indeed spicy and scrumptious, living up to their name. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning.
The food wasn’t good. The chicken wings are very chewy and the number of points spent as a student wasn’t worth it. The booth seats are cool when with friends but the food is mid at best. Wesleyan students go to Summerfields instead. The flies ate the food more than me!
Ordered wings and boneless wings . Hot and mild . Order was mixed up. I brought it to their attention They just didn't care . That aside . The boneless were over cooked and the sauces were out of a plastic jug and lacked imagination. But the cashier had a nice hinee so there's that
