The Den At Frog Hollow - Middletown

I live in the area and heard good things about recent management changes. It 's changed hands quite a few times in the last few years, so I decided to check it out. I was very happy with my experience, and return frequently to try the craft beer and listen to live music on Friday and Saturday nights. The bartenders are friendly and personable, and I 've heard very good things about the fall-inspired craft cocktails that they 've just added to the menu. The Pub is now featuring elevated pub fare that can 't be beat. The Asian-inspired brussel sprouts are amazing, as are the whiskey buffalo wings with house-made blue cheese. These appetizers and some others are available for lower price during Happy Hour, which is Monday from Friday from 4-7, and domestic drafts are just $2 at that time. I often order the whiskey buffalo chicken sandwich, and it is to die for. The salads are very satisfying and come with a tasty selection of dressings made in house. If you 're looking for entrees, the bar harbor chicken, which is topped with lump crab meat and lobster bisque, is excellent, and they recently added turkey pot pie, which is just about the perfect comfort food. I highly recommend this establishment.

The Big Clucker is hands down the best brunch sandwich in town. The bartenders at this place are top-notch!

We have visited this restaurant several times since the new owners took over, and we have always been impressed with the food, atmosphere, and service. The standout for us has been the food - the wings, pulled pork sandwich, and even the brussels sprouts were all delicious! I particularly enjoyed the perfectly cooked fries. We are excited to return this weekend for our first dine-in experience since the pandemic, and we are eagerly anticipating it.
