Japanica Ii - Middletown

Loved the atmosphere here, they have private rooms for comfort , and my favorite was the fresh tea in the pot and the cute tiny cup ? haha , the little things I guess ? But yes it was very affordable and had a cozy atmosphere, I definitely recommend this placeFood: 5/5

The food was good and the place is so cute. It needs to be organized better. It is clean, but there are areas with clutter which takes away from the atmosphere.Food: 5/5

In my top 5 for best sushi restaurants. The lunch special is great and ratio of meat to other ingredients is extremely fair. My only reason for 4 stars is because their house salad needs a lot of work. I thoroughly enjoy the small ginger dressed salad that comes with sushi, however this is the only spot where I can’t even eat more than a few bites of it. The vegetables are always on the way out and the bottom of the container has a quarter inch if water in it. Specifically did not go today for lunch just because I didn’t want to have to think about that salad!

Absolutely my fav Japanese spot in Middletown. As soon as I enter it reminds me of the mom and pops back home. Servers are always kind and welcoming, and food is always served promptly and plated beautifully. It’s so hard to find Asian spots out here that offer consistency across all their dishes, and Japanica does. Their prices are also reasonable!

Rolls weren't that great. Service was service at a Japanese restaurant. Atmosphere was fine other than the loud guests discussing their ignorant political and social beliefs which aren't a reflection on the restaurant at all.Food: 2/5
