While I was waiting, I noticed the pepperoni slice with those tiny little pep... read more I ordered the Artichoke pie because I had heard that Basille's is renowned for it. While I was waiting, I noticed the pepperoni slice with those tiny little pepperoni cups, and I couldn't resist getting one! It was fantastic! I took the Artichoke pie home along with a couple of Grandma slices, which I reheated the next day. I have to say, I really love their sauce; it has a lovely light caramelization, which I also noticed on the pepperoni slice. Even after reheating, the crust maintained its delightful foldable and soft crispy texture. The Artichoke pie was very tasty, rich, and satisfying. I would have enjoyed it even more if the edge crust had been a bit more bready and puffed up — I know "puffed" might not be the best term for describing pizza crust, but those who understand will get what I mean.

I can confidently say I won't be eating Sicilian pizza from anywhere else after trying Basile's! The sauce is incredibly delicious, the crust is both crunchy and flavorful, and the cheese is perfectly balanced. This is hands down the best pizza I've had in ages, and I'm saying this as a true Brooklyn girl! I can't get enough of it. I've also tried several of their pasta dishes, which are delightful too. You really can't go wrong here!

Born in Brooklyn (L&B), lived many years in S.I., I think I know good pizza and this place has it. Great crust, tasty sauce and good cheese. There's no oily runoff like when they use the cheap stuff. Haven't tried anything but the pizza and calzones and both were good. Even got some dough to make stromboli at home and it was perfect. In fact, I think I'll order some now for dinner. Yum.
