This is the pizza I grew up with in New York. Everything here is fresh, truly classic, and exceptional.

This pizza has the potential to be outstanding, but unfortunately, it falls short. The crust is strange and crumbly, creating a mess and failing to provide a good texture, unlike what cornmeal would offer. If they used a traditional crust, the pizza would be much better. It would also be fantastic if they covered the entire pizza with cheese. They should make it a 16-inch size and keep the price the same, but with a reasonable amount of cheese and no crumbs. It seems like they’re trying too hard to be gourmet, while what Middletown really needs is just a solid pizza place. Gourmet works well in Red Bank.

The shrimp fra diavolo was awful, and I won't be ordering from Basiles again.

Insanely good pizza. Had the cheese slice and a Sicilian square. Good crisp crust, fresh sauce and you can tell they use quality cheese.

I ordered the Artichoke pie because I had heard that Basille's is renowned for it. While I was waiting, I noticed the pepperoni slice with those tiny little pepperoni cups, and I couldn't resist getting one! It was fantastic! I took the Artichoke pie home along with a couple of Grandma slices, which I reheated the next day. I have to say, I really love their sauce; it has a lovely light caramelization, which I also noticed on the pepperoni slice. Even after reheating, the crust maintained its delightful foldable and soft crispy texture. The Artichoke pie was very tasty, rich, and satisfying. I would have enjoyed it even more if the edge crust had been a bit more bready and puffed up — I know "puffed" might not be the best term for describing pizza crust, but those who understand will get what I mean.
