Americana Diner - Middletown

Very good. Best Matzo ball soup I know of! Overall a nice friendly place. I had never been here until the last year or so. My wife told me how much she loved it, so we finally got there and never disappointed since. I can 't give 5 stars, even though many things were worth 5 stars. But like most dinners in my humble opinion, I feel sometimes they try and do so many items that some are just 'OK '. Never had a BAD meal though. All the staples are great, burgers, breakfasts, gyro 's, soups.

This diner was a nice size. They were able to accommodate 10 of us. The staff was very friendly and professional. The prices are reasonable and portions were a large size. Everyone took home a doggy bag. I had the Cajun burger and I was eagerly expecting a lot of robust flavor. I was disappointed because it had a hint of Cajun flavor and it wasn't bursting with flavor in a true Cajun style. It wasn't bad, but there as a lot of room for improvement. Also I asked for my burger to be cooked medium and it was medium well. The size of the burger was a nice large size. My nephew's burger was cooked medium when he asked for medium well. I took a bite out of my son's Cuban panini. The flavor was good but it was on the dry side. Everyone else said their food was good. I would give this diner a 3 and a half stars if it were available.

Picked a random place to eat while driving to NYC. Definitely a no frills diner, but meal I orders (the Greek platter with seafood Bisque) was pretty tasty. Milkshake was meh at best. Would go back here the Greek platter.

So far has not disappointed us. This is our go-to dinner. They have everything we crave and it's delicious!

I ordered chicken and shrimp over linguine. The sauce, the pasta and the shrimp was great. The chicken was a bit overcooked. But the overall plate taste was delicious. The plate size was good.
