**Culinary Confusion at Chanchos: A Mixed Bag Experience**
Chanchos presents a polarizing dining experience marked by inflated prices and varying food quality. Patrons express frustration over high drink costs and the lack of complimentary chips and dip, uncommon for a Mexican eatery. While some lament the flavor shortcomings, others celebrate flavorful dishes like the pulled beef tacos and chicken enchiladas, alongside commendable service. The bar ambiance, inspired by "Nacho Libre," captures the essence of a cozy gathering spot, with enthusiastic staff adding to the charm. Despite some dissatisfaction, many vow to return for the overall experience, indicating potential for growth in both menu and service.
Feedback
The food was amazing, and the service was exceptional! Each dish was flavorful and delightful! The margarita was crafted to perfection! Don’t miss the chicken enchiladas—they're absolutely fantastic!
I called to place an order and was told that I had to order online. When I tried to order the "pick 3 tacos" option as mentioned on the website, I was informed that I couldn't do that. Great job—now you've lost a customer and possibly more.
For our first visit to Chanchos, we decided to go with takeout, and the food exceeded our expectations. We ordered a burrito, enchiladas, and fajitas, and each dish was packed with flavor, including the sides. It’s definitely an easy 5 stars!
Food was less disappointing. Menu limited. I do not see this restaurant surviving
This is the most overpriced restaurant I’ve ever been to! Charging $21 for a drink? This isn’t Newbury Street in Boston—let’s get real! The food was okay, but after just one visit, that’s all I need. It’s just far too expensive for what they provide! I seriously doubt this place will last for long.
