**Culinary Confusion at Chanchos: A Mixed Bag Experience** Chanchos presents a polarizing dining experience marked by inflated prices and varying food quality. Patrons express frustration over high drink costs and the lack of complimentary chips and dip, uncommon for a Mexican eatery. While some lament the flavor shortcomings, others celebrate flavorful dishes like the pulled beef tacos and chicken enchiladas, alongside commendable service. The bar ambiance, inspired by "Nacho Libre," captures the essence of a cozy gathering spot, with enthusiastic staff adding to the charm. Despite some dissatisfaction, many vow to return for the overall experience, indicating potential for growth in both menu and service.

Was 86 The Special at Chancho's a mag?
My wife and I have always loved this place and the overall ambiance of the bar. It's our go-to spot. We appreciate the low ceilings, dim lighting, decor, and the general atmosphere of the restaurant. What Mike F dislikes about Chancho's:
This is the most overpriced restaurant I’ve ever been to! Charging $21 for a drink? This isn’t Newbury Street in Boston—let’s get real! The food was okay, but after just one visit, that’s all I need. It’s just far too expensive for what they provide! I seriously doubt this place will last for long. View all feedback.

The burrito and enchiladas were fantastic, and the drinks were delicious as well. This place has definitely become a regular stop for us!

Maggie's and now Choncho's are our two favorite Serenity restaurants. When we found out that Maggie's original location was relocating and a new theme would be introduced, we were a bit uncertain. However, we were both pleasantly surprised to discover that the new theme is based on one of our favorite movies... Nacho Libre! (Beneath all the humor, there's a wonderful message.) It's a fantastic concept! The food is delicious, the drinks are refreshing, and the staff is wonderful. The service is excellent, and they've really managed to keep the bar vibe intact! We will definitely be back.

This Mexican restaurant is way overpriced! Rice and beans are inexpensive, yet they charge extra for chips and dip, which is unheard of for a Mexican place. I've never experienced a restaurant that doesn't offer complimentary chips and dip! The food lacked flavor; although the portion sizes were decent, the taste was cheap and underwhelming. If you want great food at half the price, try Toritos down the street on Route 1 South! The martinis are as round as paper plates, and the beer mugs are the size of a large thermos! I definitely won’t be coming back to this overpriced spot!

The drinks were great, the tacos were delicious, and the apple-stuffed churros were fantastic!
