Many guests enjoyed generous portions and high-quality meals, complemented by friendly service. However, others reported disappointing dishes, such as cold and poorly prepared meals, along with inadequate service during peak times. While the venue is popular for quiz nights and casual dining, noise from unruly children has been a noted drawback. Overall, the Highfield presents a blend of enjoyable moments and areas for improvement, promising potential for a satisfying visit.
Amazing food, amazing atmosphere. Tables were set for a Christmas party with poppers and crackers; we all had fun. Everyone enjoyed their food and my steak was cooked perfect. All around great night.
Went for a treat tea with the family and had a lovely lady called Andrea who went above and beyond to accommodate us, she was so helpful and all with a smile!
Four of us went to the Highfield for lunch and to be fair two of the meals were fine. However the other two were frankly awful. The roast beef lunch was cold with rock hard vegetables and lumpy mash and the chicken mayo baguette was cold soggy and almost inedible with for example cheese that wasn't remotely melted and a bun that was just not warmed through. The service was terrible, our finished plates were still there when we left and in an hour and a half not once did a waiter come to see if things were ok or to see if we wanted anything else. Be warned !!!
Had a lovely family meal 7/10/23 food was on time cooked to perfection and lovely staff on the bar food served to us by caprice
Possibly the worst all day breakfast I’ve ever had. Had it at 4:30pm but it looked like a child had rustled it up this morning and it had been left in the oven till now
