The Porthole café is a simple, but clean and welcoming restaurant. I went with my son and he enjoyed the full English breakfast, particularly noting that the chicken sausages were better than some pork sausages he had tried before. I opted for the Indian breakfast, which was delicious. I definitely plan on returning to this café again in the future.

I had the worst breakfast ever at this restaurant! I didn't realize that it was meat substitutes until after I ordered. I gave it a star because A) I couldn't rate it any lower and B) the eggs were good and the staff was friendly and helpful. The hash browns were greasy and the turkey rashers were terrible. Overall, a waste of money.

I wish I could give this restaurant a lower rating. If only we had read the reviews beforehand. It's nothing like the original cafe. Who serves a full breakfast without real pork products? It's disgusting. We weren't even told when placing our order.

Only tried Mocha, which was not bad and the service was welcoming and quick. Not a lot of space though so had to sit next to stranger.

Recently taken over by a new owner. Money has been spent refurbishing to a reasonable standard. They still do breakfasts although pork products no longer feature. On this visit we enjoyed ice creams and milkshakes absolutely delicious. Staff ultra friendly and the place is...clean and tidy. Would recommend you give it a go!
