First visit to jolsha and was not disappointed, staff very friendly and welcoming....food was reasonably priced considering it was very tasty and very good portions.
New year's eve we popped in on the off chance as it's a couple of minutes walk we have used it regularly. The most we hoped for was a takeaway but the staff said they'd have a table in 20 mins. We had a drink we got a table. Despite how busy it was we didn't have a long wait had a great meal. The jolsha team as always were fantastic, friendly professional.
We arrived 6:30 on Saturday and didn’t receive food until 9pm due to a number of large parties and deliveries. Food was ok, not brilliant (chicken was dry). We won’t return anytime soon, very very disappointing.
Extremely disappointing Tikka Masala curry, pilau rice and inedible garlic nan. Had heard good reports, so the disappointment was tough to take. I ordered and picked up, staff were very friendly which was the only positive. Meal was awful, I would of been better off buying a ready meal curry from Spar. Perhaps it was an off day, but I won't get the chance to find out. The Tikka Masala and garlic nan was that bad, ill never return.
Nice food, for cost portions are a little small. But tasted lovely. My lamb saag had lovely big chunks of meat in, the sauce was just right. Spices balanced really well but very mild spice. Tandoori wings were lovely. The poppadom starter between 6 was 1 poppadom each which is fine. But only 1 tray with the condiments. Only a small portion. Service was really good and pretty quick however my friend ordered a Coke and he was given a Cobra Lager.
