Went out for something to eat at tea time and thought Id give this place a Try as we saw it being put together. Im glad I did. The welcome was warm, the service from Eddie was friendly amd professional.. he could do enough for us.. so accommodating. Food was awful, customer service wasn't very good. We came here for my boyfriends daughters birthday at 5pm. I had the goats cheese starter and lasagne, which is the picture attached. It was the consistency of soup. I had about 4 mouthfuls. My boyfriend had the black pudding starter and spaghetti uno, which he said had far too much sauce. I just visited this restaurant tonight, and the food was outstanding and delicious. The service was excellent, making us feel welcome the moment we walked through the door. I highly recommend it!
Before the fire, we used to go there all the time—it was a weekly routine for us. The food was always delicious, and the prices were very reasonable. My family and friends have all enjoyed meals there on numerous occasions. I can’t wait for it to reopen!
Gorgeous food , friendly staff , lovely atmosphere highly recommend
One of the best places to eat in town, the friendly service and atmosphere are only eclipsed by the value and quality of the food. I had the Mussels with white wine and garlic to start, cooked to perfection and I fully expected to find they hadn 't been de-haired but to my surprise I only had to do it myself in 3 out of about 20 Mussels. For my main I had a classic spaghetti carbonara which was perfectly creamy, not too rich and garnished beautifully. The portion size was large but I had to save room for a dessert and I 'm glad I did. Last but not least I had the 'Funky Pie ' for my sweet and whilst basic in its ingredients the taste worked extremely well. The hazelnuts adorning it gave a satisfying crunch and savoury taste to combat the sweet vanilla ice cream. Couldn 't reccomend enough to anybody, will 100% be back in the near future but I 'm scared I 'll never get through the whole menu before they change it
Nice and cosy place to have dinner with friends or family. Nowadays you 'll need to book a table for obvious reasons. Even the restaurant was full till the top last Wednesday evening, the staff was quick and accurate. There are a lot of dishes to choose. I had foie on toast and soup of the day as starter. The foie was really good, and it came with caramelized onion. The soup of the day was the most incredible tomato soup I 've ever had. Smooth and tasty at the same time. I finished my dinner with a traditional chicken Parmo , with home made chips. A very good experience.
