Description

Located in a struggling section of Middlesbrough, this café has garnered mixed reviews. Diners have noted the average quality of food, particularly regarding overpriced soft drinks and limited menu options. While some appreciated the hot, tasty sausage buns and decent coffee, others lamented the slow service, dirty tables, and poorly maintained cutlery. Atmosphere and cleanliness appeared neglected, with customers feeling compelled to clean their own tables. Although there are pockets of good service and potential, the overall experience reflects a need for significant improvement to compete effectively in the local dining scene.

We ended up at this restaurant because the city center of Middlesbrough was looking rundown and most places were closed. There were very few options for a sandwich and coffee without having to walk far from Linthorpe Road. The long wait in line may have been due to the staff moving slowly and chatting amongst themselves, with dirty tables and not enough employees to handle the demand. The cutlery was dirty, with old food on knives and brown stains on the teaspoons from lack of cleaning. Our table was sticky with crumbs, prompting me to use my own antibacterial wipes before eating. The atmosphere of the place was neglected and gave the impression that it may close down soon. The overall experience was disappointing, with limited options and large areas of the restaurant closed off. It's a far cry from the once lively shopping destination it used to be.

Here today called with the woman and had sausages and speck ciabattas and drinks, both were nice and hot and very good quality, yet another menu, but better all round service and young man who has brought food to table offerings good ideas and was. plentiful, more sitting opportunity available, was clean and much staff available, it was about close to busier tomorrow and just started getting they still miss the full English breakfast, but hey ho more important dinge in life at the moment. we're gonna be a little time.

I had drinks and snacks at this restaurant and everything was beautiful and delicious. The prices were okay, but the menu was limited. I was disappointed to see that they no longer serve a full English breakfast. There weren't any details or prices displayed for the cookies, and there was a lack of butter served with the scones. The seating was reduced and there weren't enough tables for groups of four or more. Overall, the restaurant has great potential, but there are areas that could be improved.

The staff at the restaurant were very friendly, but the service was too slow. Unfortunately, my daughter had to leave for work before she received her food. The staff kindly packed her meal to-go, but she had hoped to dine with us.

Extremely slow service! I know lunchtime can get busy, but it took us half an hour to order in a line of about 6 people and another half hour to actually receive our food. To make matters worse, we only received half of our order because it was accidentally left off. It seemed like the two girls working behind the counter were more focused on complaining about their Christmas hours than on serving customers.
