Rovers Lodge Cafe - Middlefield
Rovers Lodge Cafe
Description
Set on a picturesque lakeside, this charming, cash-only bar offers a laid-back summer vibe with a sun deck, Adirondack chairs and stellar water views. An entertaining, friendly bartender, low prices and Friday karaoke create a welcoming local haunt, though patrons should expect limited taps and bottles, no kitchen service, and a smoky back porch that can affect outdoor air. Not ideal for under‑21s or diners seeking full meals.

Who even knew this little gem existed!! The bartender at another restaurant recommended it. We had a great time. The bartender was funny and personable. He made great drinks. The prices were lower then other bars so who could not like that!! They only take cash but do have an ATM on site if needed. Rovers has a back deck over looking the lake. The views are spectacular! You can even sit on the grass in an Adirondack chair. Just gorgeous! Friday night is kareoke night. I was a bit intimidated at first because the bar had a bunch of locals and i thought they would not like us noobs singing. Boy was I wrong!!! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. They congratulated us and cheered us on. I love this place!! May be my new favorite kareoke spot!!!
Don't walk in, unless you're over 21 because they will give you dirty looks and will make you feel uncomfortable. My soda was flat and the lunch menu was very small. They didn't want us to be seated inside because of the bar, even though there were seating options available.
Popped in on a Saturday with a buddy and my folks. The Place is full of charm and the bar staff is nice. General INBEV fair on the taps. More bottles, but not a huge selection. Cash only. The view was beautiful, and it was great sitting on the Adirondack chairs on a summer day! Three stars due to the chimney nature of the smoking on the back porch, and that being the ONLY avenue to the clean air of the back yard. Also The guy smoking and screaming Hey Skinhead to his buddy 's in the next yard was a little disconcerting. I know this is a local haunt, but I wonder if i should want to know the locals.
Nice little place on Lake Beseck. Great place for a cold beer and good food. Outdoor patio for smokers.
