Holy Moly!Fantastic spot for a day out!Wines are fabulous. Guided tastings and self-guided flights available. The food...oh my! Farm-fresh ingredients and chef curated menu. Probably the best pizza I've ever had. We cannot wait to come back and try more!!!Family friendly and amazing staff! View all feedback.
What Saxman doesn't like about Chrysalis Vineyards At The Ag District:
Rude staff, rude GM . Please do not go to this winery. There is no warmth in this winery just some views. A winery is a lot more than views. It is an experience. They lack customer service , it does not exist. Learn from wineries like Sunset Hills. You don’t become Best of Loudoun just like that. Start by replacing the GM. View all feedback.
Some people are stating that they didn't like the people that worked here. I didn't mind them, they were very nice to my wife and I. The outside area is also pretty nice, with some good views on a hill.. However, the reason for the 2 stars is because the wine is flat out not good. The food is alright. The cheese and crackers is ehh, but the other food isn't bad. I wish the wine was better.. The long dirt gravel road isn't exactly fun either. It can be troublesome getting up there with cars....There are so many wineries in this area, so you can pick and chose. We won't be coming back here, but that does not mean you shouldn't at least a try. I think maybe you should, I am just giving you a review based on my thinking of the wine...

Extremely Rude staff. One of the worst winery experiences. Will never go there again, telling all my friends to avoid it as well.Left Chrysalis and went to Greenhill Vineyards where the wine and the people were so much nicer!!!! If I could give zero stars I would.
Wonderful gem of a winery. The weather was beautiful. The atmosphere was relaxing. The smoked salmon dip was fabulous. The salami peppers paninni was fresh, and homemade potato chips had a nice flavor. The Margherita Pizza was light and airy, and the Basil Pesto was spot on. The wine of choice was a Rosé. A fine outing.
Visited Chrysalis on Father 's Day in a party of four. We enjoyed the wine, food was mostly good, but the service diminished the experience. Everything (tastings, bottles, food) must be ordered and paid for at two POS terminals inside, which results in a long line that moves slowly. It 's an inefficient arrangement that could be improved if you could pay for tastings at the tasting bar. There seemed to be only one screw for opening wine bottles and the bar manager did not show any urgency in opening and serving the bottle I purchased. We enjoyed the pizza but about 20 minutes after ordering we were served a Caprese salad that lacked mozzarella (it 's not a caprese if it doesn 't have mozzarella). The photo attached is the Caprese after sending it back to the kitchen for them to add the mozzarella. It shouldn 't have taken so long to prepare a cold dish.I 'm a supporter of Virginia wineries and I want to come back to Chrysalis, but they need to invest in staff training and use the POS terminals more efficiently to provide a consistently positive guest experience.
