What a stunning winery! We encountered some average ones during our journey through the Southwest, but this is definitely one of the great ones. It’s incredibly beautiful and full of character. The staff is also very friendly and knowledgeable. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Nikola Estate:
The wine tasting experience at the cellar door was disappointing. The woman who conducted the tasting seemed completely uninterested in explaining anything about the wines. The wines we tasted were unpleasant and had off-putting smells. It felt like either the wines had been left out for too long or they were simply not good at all. We tried three of them and ended up avoiding them entirely. View all feedback.
This place has gone downhill very quickly which is obvious as there was hardly anyone there. The food choices here are a platter for 2 or 5. That’s it, no other food on offer even though it’s advertised as a “restaurant”. We ordered the platter for 2 and a bottle of wine to sit on the picnic area. They gave us the wine and told us they would bring the “platter” out to us. 45 minutes later we still didn’t have the platter and had to go in and ask for it again. The platter consisted of a block of Brie, 4 slices of dry meat, a slice of terrine and around 30 slices of dry cheap bread. $80. When I told the waitress it would have been nice to have the platter at the same time as the wine she literally threw the 2 side plates on our picnic blanket and told us not to come back as she was run off her feet. This is a Sunday long weekend in the swan valley and they had 2 staff on. The other staff member was doing his first shift on wine tasting and didn’t know anything about wine. He’s obviously had very little training. These guys need to look at the success of their sister winery at oakover which is full of very helpful staff who know everything about wine and customer service which is why they are packed full every weekend.
Attractive winery with relaxed atmosphere and delicious food and wines. Nicola Estate was one of the boutique wineries on our Swan River Wine Tour. We enjoyed sampling a selection of wines with cheese and crackers.

The very best in service, the ambience is so relaxing the food is of the highest quality
Love the wines, available at winery or online with cheap delivery. Tasting room has great ambience try the generous food offerings along with a bottle. Woodcutters also excellent local produce, unique culinary delights. Not cheap but great value.
