What melbowles doesn't like about Greyhound Inn:
Came for a Sunday lunch here for the first time. My husband was told he could not enter while wearing his face covering which is a snood type. They said it must be a mask. Government guidelines clearly state a face covering is something that covers the mouth and nose and can be a scarf, bandana, hand made cloth covering or religious garment, basically anything that fits snugly round the nose and mouth. This pub is lovely with a spacious bar and plenty of staff, but charging £3 for a pint of soda water seems excessive. As someone who has worked in pubs in central London for nearly a decade, I find this price to be quite high for essentially just water with bubbles. The food was tasty, but paying £15 for a meal with frozen vegetables from a bag is not great value for money. View all feedback.

While patrons appreciate the friendly and knowledgeable staff, experiences vary with food offerings. Some dishes, including roasts and classic pub fare, have been met with mixed reviews regarding quality and preparation. Despite occasional staffing and menu limitations, the pub's cozy environment, complete with open fires and engaging activities, captures a genuine local spirit. Overall, it's recommended for those seeking a welcoming pub experience, though expectations for food quality may vary.
