great pub. friendly staff. hands free order. embraced the new kind of providing a pub experience. the renter is a music that is paid attention to chap, and occasionally gets local bands and it really raises the atmosphere. the outside seat area is very comfortable, and we sat there for the majority of the evening until it began to cool down. then in comfortable seats in the bar. 11/10 or 6* of 5 would be better suite... My husband and I went out for breakfast today and ordered a traditional breakfast and a large breakfast. We started off at one table but moved to a better one when it became available. Unfortunately, our breakfasts were delivered to the original table, causing a long wait for them to be brought to us. Staying in Stowmarket visiting friends, just popped into this pub. Happy to have dogs and the paddle of 3 tasting glasses are perfect to sample the variety of quality ales and ciders sold. Lovely friendly staff and punters. Wish we lived closer!
Thought I’d drop another review. Still the best in town by a mile. Great staff and a great customer base. Just all round nice people. Don’t be shy. Pop in and say high !
Still the best pub in town by a mile. No football or sport idiots. No loud music. Just great drink and mix of people. A nicer class of drinker. Monday nights pub quiz is a great mix of mums and dads and family’s.
Overall, everything was good. The cold drinks were refreshing and the team was nice and helpful. I would recommend this place for a post-work hangout.

After speaking to the duty manager, we were given a refund and two fresh breakfasts. It was a bit of a hassle, so I may not be returning anytime soon. However, I appreciate the effort made to resolve the issue.
