The Sorrel Horse Inn Public House

Looks like school dinners but tastes great, was surprised at the burgers and beef horse raddish sandwiches. Get the impression that its family run, the staff are great. Kids play area which is off to the side, is really well laid out so parents can see all. The environment and the other patreons are really good folk. This just one of those really good places to be, and will make great memories.

Why oh why do small businesses not put decent beds in their rooms, I'm afraid that obviously why on my travels, I stay 90% of the time at Premier Inn. I really want to support local business on my travels, but the beds are so cheap and soft. I'm sure there are good beds our there in the smaller hotels, but I've yet to find one. I won't even go into the bit where I asked for crispy bacon ..

Not great service, got dodgy flat Coke. Meals arrived at the table, one of which was incorrect, wrong cut of steak. No mushrooms which was requested at ordering and steak arrived with mushrooms over it. This had to be addressed, when food arrived and this had to be changed. Sauce for steak then had to be chased also. The waitress then lied and told Sarah (not sure of her position at the pub) but if she is a senior member of staff, she definitely should not be one) that one of us had raised our voices at her waitress when we chased the steak sauces, which wasn't the case as had 4 other witnesses at my table to prove this. Rather than actually talking to us about about this in a professional manner, Sarah was rude, gave us attitude and told us that if thats what her staff said appened, then it happened and she will always back her staff over customers. Very disappointing for a pub that we have use alot . I would like to highlight the disgraceful.member of staff Sarah in this review, who really needs to sort her attitude out, totally unacceptable. I will be raising an official complaint regarding our experience and have put a request in for this and am currently awaiting a reply. Sarah's attitude and conduct has lead me to put up this 1 star review .

We have had numerous visits with family to the Sorrel Horse for many years, has a great atmosphere, good food and service, highly recommended.
