Families appreciate its dog-friendly environment, though the lack of baby-changing facilities can be inconvenient. The attentive staff enhances the dining experience, ensuring prompt service and a welcoming vibe. Diners rave about the succulent roast dinners and decadent desserts, particularly the massive chocolate brownie. Though some meals may feel slightly overpriced, the freshness and quality shine through. With a great location for travelers and the option of a cozy beer garden, this pub is a fantastic spot for gatherings post-lockdown.
The pub has a lovely atmosphere with very friendly and helpful staff. The food was excellent, service was fast, and it was great value for money. I highly recommend it!
At a random visit in the opposite with the family, was not sure how it would be. Eating was good, dog-friendly pub, child meal offered. only the output is not a baby change facility, so it had to do on the toilet floor....Not ideal in this day and age really (and not all parents are in the position to get to the floor)
Visited for a meal as we are local, The food was fresh (which was good as there was half an hour wait for it) The pub is clean and the staff are friendly, but I do feel the meals are a bit overpriced for pub...grub'. It would be nicer if there was a family room as children running up and down screaming is not conducive to a relaxing atmosphere.
Staying in the area for a few days we called for an evening meal. The fact that we ate there again two days later shows our satisfaction. The staff were great and our meals were excellent.
Needed to accommodate gluten free, vegetarians and fussy eaters post lockdown. We know the pub has had a bumpy ride lately but was pleasantly surprised at the great service and the quality of the food. Great effort.
