The Trawler's Catch - Mid Devon
The Trawler's Catch
Description
In a recent exploration of a local fish and chip shop, opinions vary significantly among diners. While some praised the freshness and taste of dishes like cod and chips, others reported disappointment with portion sizes and quality, even suggesting that ingredients may be frozen. Service quality fluctuated, with some customers experiencing unresponsive staff amidst complaints. Despite affordable options and a pleasant atmosphere, the overall consensus highlights a decline in standards post-change in ownership. Potential patrons are advised to weigh carefully their dining preferences against the mixed reviews—what was once a beloved chippy may not live up to its former glory.

I have tried four times to order chicken at this restaurant, but each time it is not available. Even at 7pm, there is no Cod on the menu, leading me to believe that the dishes are made with low-quality frozen ingredients. Perhaps tolerable after a night of drinking, but not worth visiting while sober.
Good for quick clean easy food ........ How much more can you say about a fish and chip shop Clearly more to get to 100 characters
Had sausage and chips special have to say it was excellent and great value and would recommend a visit.
Food was poor, the fish was very greasy and the mushy peas/ beans are microwaved. Never again!! Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £10–20 Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 1
