Tarpon Bend - Miami

Great atmosphere and the best quality seafood that I’ve found in Coral Gables. Friendly and knowledgeable staff and subtle but stylish decor.

I was quite impressed with the overall experience at Tarpon Bend. The food was excellent and the service was great. The restaurant is clean and has a comfortable atmosphere, not too pretentious.

The atmosphere is very nice, but I wish they would invest more in the quality of their food. On par with chain restaurants like Fridays.

This restaurant was recommended by a co-worker but I was not too impressed. I ordered the rosemary lemon chicken without the mashed potatoes, due to being on the Akins Diet. The potatoes were substituted with seasonal vegetables which consisted of carrots and rutabaga and I think ;potato ; wedges. Although the chicken was certainly very tasty, the vegetables were very dry and had a peculiar taste. That was all there was to eat and the cost of $14.95 for that meal seemed like Highway robbery. There should have been more to eat for that kind of money. I won 't be recommending Tarpon Bend to any of my co-workers! I felt the entire menu (particularly for lunch) was quite steep! We would have gotten a better meal at Christy 's for the same price!
