I absolutely love the soup dumplings; the dough is perfect, and they come with a generous filling. The pan-fried dumplings are always a delicious choice as well. I also tried the spicy potatoes, which were quite unique. They weren't cooked as thoroughly as you would find with hash browns, allowing them to have a noodle-like texture. This place is a no-frills spot that serves generous portions with delicious flavors. The food was prepared quickly, too.

However, the dining experience is exceptional. I highly recommend ordering the fried dumplings, suppenknödel, and mapo tofu. We opted for the steamed dumplings to save some calories, but honestly, it wasn't worth it. It's also worth mentioning that the knödel are huge! I would definitely bring some friends along next time to try a variety of noodles.

However, Shing Wang has changed my perspective! This restaurant is the closest I can get to China while I'm here. I went with my Chinese student, and we ordered dumplings, bubble tea, and spicy beef. Everything was delicious—much to my surprise! The staff was friendly and accommodating. I definitely plan to return, even though I live an hour away; it's absolutely worth the trip!

While the ownership remains the same, they have introduced a wider variety of dishes but removed some favorites from the menu. Unfortunately, they no longer offer the Taiwanese pork over rice, and I miss my mocha slush!
