it's been hard finding a good fritanga lately, this place really hit the spot. Went in at around 8pm and the food was so fresh and delicious. I usually am not a fan of gallo pinto because it can be dry, but this one was perfect! The fried cheese pieces are HUUUGE ! This will be my go to spot when craving nica food. View all feedback.
What Alan Fundora doesn't like about Nica Fritanga Y Raspaderia:
Very little food if you are not nica. Very small piece of cheese. Very small portion of Carne Asada. Very bad portions. People there not happy to be there and racist towards white Cubans.Food: 1/5 View all feedback.
I've tried many fritangas, and this one is outstanding. The food was absolutely delicious. You can really tell that they put effort into how the food is presented, and everything was fresh.
The plantains that came in the bag were inedible, and the fried cheese tasted stale.
They gave my order to someone else, and then they told me they ran out of Carne Asada. They were not helpful at all.
Without a doubt, this is the best Fritanga in my opinion. Everything here is delicious – from the roasted pork to the quesillo and the legua, I never get tired of dining here.
Small place with great food. We moved further away but were back in the area and decided to get lunch. Well, we remember why it was our favorite fritanga place. We ordered the gallo pinto (not overly greasy), the carne asada (well seasoned), plátanos maduros(THE best), queso frito(not over fried), and ensalada de repollo (includes radish slices). I dumped the picante into the salad bag and gave it a shake, and squirted the crema over the gallo pinto.
