Excellent service and the food was delicious. Would love to see more Italian dishes. Sea bass and lasagna were excellent. Great selection of desserts- tiramisu was outstanding. Will definitely be back. View all feedback.
What Marie Alvarez dislikes about Montecatini:
For the price I paid, I expected a high-quality pasta dish with genuine pesto sauce, as the menu item indicated. Honestly, a Hello Fresh pasta meal tastes better than this. The lasagna was completely bland. The only dish that was decent was the seafood risotto. The quality just doesn’t justify the cost. It’s disappointing because I really wanted to like this place, especially since it's so close to my neighborhood. View all feedback.
Starting with the atmosphere, we were seated outside right in front of the entrance door, so much so that our table acted as a doorstop to keep it open. Another family sat just behind a glass partition, making it feel like we were sharing the space uncomfortably. The service was disappointing—no one spoke enough English to communicate with my husband. They would address only me, completely ignoring him, even though I could have translated for them. Our server was friendly, but unfortunately, my husband was unable to ask any questions about the menu. As for the food, the fried cheese balls came with a sweet and sour sauce that felt out of place. Pairing an Asian-style sauce with Spanish cheese was odd and distracting. This mix didn’t fit the Italian, Cuban, and Spanish theme of the restaurant—it wasn’t fusion, just confusion. The spaghetti carbonara was underwhelming, lacking the black pepper specks that define the dish. It was just... meh. The $42 short rib was a major letdown. The entire dish was under-seasoned. The risotto was the worst part — some rice was al dente while other grains were overcooked to the point of splitting. The flavor was bland, like boiled rice in watery broth. The beef also needed more seasoning, and the mushroom sauce was either insufficient or not flavorful enough to compensate. This dish desperately needed salt. I couldn't finish it, and I won’t be returning to try other dishes.

I love everything about Montecatini. The servers are attentive and pay close attention to your requests. The Spanish tapas are excellent, as are the Italian dishes. The sangrias are delicious—just ask them to go light on the simple syrup.
Small and very popular Cuban Italian fusion restaurant. I liked the casual environment and table setting. We had a 12 people dinner party for my sister’s birthday. The Cesar salad was fresh and delicious, also the white sangria. But, I ordered afetuchini with lobster as a side, but they also included salmon because I wanted with salmon first, but then I changed tolobster, well…I got both and I ended paying for a $45 fettuccine I didn’t like and I didn’t finish, because it wasextremely salty and greasy and on top of that I had a food poisoning immediately after. I wasn’t the only one that didn’tenjoy the main dish, the rest of my family didn’t have a good experience either. Maybe was also the more than one hour waitingfor the food after placing the order. Unfortunately we didn’t have a good experience. But, maybe you will. I don’t think isa bad idea to go, people go and waited to be seated, it is popular I can say. I’m sure food is good for other tastes and wejust had a bad experience, might not be like that to everyone.
