Palme d'Or - Miami
Palme d'Or
Description
Located at the Biltmore, this French restaurant received mixed reviews. While the food was not consistent and portions were small, the service was excellent. The atmosphere was deemed dated and tired by some, but others praised the attentive waitresses. Despite the high prices, the food quality was generally good. There were some complaints about seating arrangements during busy times. For a taste of authentic Mexican seafood in Midtown Manhattan, Pampano was highly recommended, with dishes like shrimp quesadilla and homemade guacamole impressing diners. Outdoor dining was suggested for a delightful experience.

Have to experience, hard to explain, the ambiance, the service, the food , the music is too perfect,
Went with two others to experience their Miami Spice menu $39/person) which does change throughout the Miami Spice season so you may want to check what they are offering before you go. We all had a phenomenal meal here. Their service is truly above and beyond which compliments your already wonderful dining experience. For appetizers, we tried the beef tartare and the squid ink tortellinis both were delicious but I favored the tortellinis. We requested that our meal be somewhat quick since we had a music show to catch next door and they fulfilled our request by having our entrees/desserts out in speed timing. The entrees we selected were the black cod, the veal chops, and the duck breast. We all agreed that the veal chops were the best and the vegetables served with it the perfect pairing. For dessert, the caramel chocolate mousse served with an espresso ice cream was the rave and I highly recommend it over the other dessert La Framboise) offered. Would definitely come back for a special occasion and will be recommending to others looking to experience an extraordinary Miami Spice Menu! IG:@KFitzEats
They recently changed the brunch format, unfortunately, I must say it was a downgrade to the Grand style it had before. The ambiance is lovely though! The views spectacular!
I had the pleasure of dining at Palme D'Or, and I was truly impressed. The restaurant has a stunning classical ambiance, just as one would expect from such an iconic hotel. Even our appetizers arrived under elaborate dome covers. Our server was exceptional, providing great assistance with the menu.
Without a doubt, this is one of the best restaurants in Coral Gables. Although it's a bit pricey, the prices reflect the high quality of both the dishes and the attentive staff (sometimes a bit overly attentive). The wine pairing tasting menu is the best option; allowing the chef to showcase their creativity truly brings out the best of what the restaurant has to offer. That said, I believe the entire establishment could benefit from some remodeling, as it currently feels a bit heavy and outdated overall. This is an elegant venue, and I recommend wearing a jacket.
