Every time I visit Miami, I stick to this authentic Haitian restaurant and bring my repair. The food is unbelievable and I usually order the fried goat. I have been eating Marie’s Griot since 1977-78 when she was cooking out of her house and my brother and I would play with her kids. BEST GRIOT IN MIAMI PERIOD! Excellent food! Don’t bother projecting your privilege by expecting to get your a kissed here. Come here for quality authentic Haitian food in generous portions. Anything else , go somewhere else and stop leaving bad reviews based on your expectations from other types of restaurants. Madame John’s griot is the reason we drive all the way from South Dade, and have NEVER found better griot anywhere else in Miami.
We were hesitant to order from this restaurant because of the mixed reviews, but I'm so glad we took the plunge and experienced it for ourselves. The food was quite delicious. I placed our order in advance to reduce the wait time, and for $15, we received a generous portion—enough for both my husband and me to share from a single plate. Along with the banan, the dish also included patâte. Overall, it was a great experience, and we will definitely be returning.
I absolutely love this place! I've been coming here since my college days. Even though I don't live in Florida anymore, it's always at the top of my list whenever I visit. The food is very authentic, and I always order the griot complet.
Every time I visit Miami, I make it a point to eat at this authentic Haitian restaurant and bring my friends along. The food is incredible, and I usually order the fried goat. The only downside is that the menu is in Kreyòl, which makes it challenging to order if you don’t know what you want ahead of time. The staff only speaks Kreyòl and isn't bilingual. The food is made to order, so there's often a long wait, but it's definitely worth it. Just don’t come here if you’re short on time. Also, keep in mind that it’s a cash-only establishment.
Zoe Lady can cook! Great food.
