My husband and I came here on our last night in Como and what a stunning meal we had as a parting gift! The food, the service, the quaint location all stunning! Highly recommend!
Fantastic experience! We enjoyed everything: the atmosphere, the view, the authentic food and super friendly owner Alice. I will definitely come again — the best place for a long Sunday lunch. The restaurant has easy parking, which is also very important in Lake Como.
We were very lucky to get a cancellation spot at this restaurant, so I recommend booking well in advance in high season. We went here with friends who are experienced foodies, and even they were impressed. Hubby and I are not foodies, but we could tell this place was special. They served a tiny ramekin of Sicillian Caponata after we ordered, and it was one of the best things any of us had had ever tasted-we were literally licking the bowl! A mix of eggplant, raisins, tomatoes, and ?? This needs to be offered as a full starter with bread, because it was wonderful. We all shared the warm goat's cheese starter with orange peel sauce and served with black cabbage straight from the garden, and it was so good that we ordered another. I could have actually had one to myself! The meat ravioli with sage and butter melted in your mouth and was amazing. The chef clearly works very hard to create these delicious and beautiful dishes, and the prices are actually very reasonable for what you get..The risotto with scallops and prawns was enjoyed by our friends and I was regretting not ordering it. The fillet in wine sauce main course was almost a bit of a disappointment-not because it wasn't lovely and tender, but because everything else was just so special. We loved the fresh bread being brought around, the ambiance, charming service, and the gorgeous views. This restaurant is not to be missed!
