Great friendly service at check in, lots of info on local activities. And the free wifi is reliable and fast. Hotel and the room were spotlessly clean. Good bed, I slept like a baby. Nice shady terrace for drinks and more present. Decent room with everything in there, even mini fridge with beer and drinks all at a more than reasonable €2 a shot. The breakfast buffet (incl. in room price) is great. Simple but very tasty. The freshly baked bread rolls with smoked salmon did it for me, with enough fresh coffee on offer. Plenty of free car parking, also plenty of open grass space out back for kids to play and run about. Rooms: Very clean, simple but at the same time everything you want or need is there. I liked the shower, intense water pressure. Nearby activities: Plenty to do and see in and around the the local village of Mettingen, especiay local walks and cycle tracks for all levels. Safety: Excellent small village in Germany, enough said. Walkability: Plenty of local walks available, including into down into the village... just don't forget the serious up hill walk back. Food drinks: Breakfast was great, the supper menu offerings looked good (but we were out and didn't try it)
