I celebrated my sister's birthday here.
It's our 2nd time here and it didn't disappoint.
We ordered Kimchi Pilaf, Seafood Carbonara, and Pork Steak Salad.
Everything was satisfactory and appetizing.
Many thanks to our server, Joy for an excellent service. ????
We will probably come back!

My boyfriend and I had our anniversary dinner here last April 18, 2017. We could have chosen a fancier restaurant, but to be honest, I loved every moment we spent dining here and could not have been happier with our decision. We ordered their Spicy Chicken Steak Salad and Shrimp Pilaf. Everything was so delicious! I suggest you don't mix the spicy chicken and the greens because, sadly, that's exactly what we did and wish we hadn't. Nevertheless, we still loved it. The taste of the salad was not overpowered by the flavorful spicy chicken and I absolutely loved the mayo they used on the salad. The Shrimp Pilaf was cooked al dente and was one of the most delicious rice meals I have ever had. I am not a heavy rice eater but this dish was my exception. I take credit for eating half of that dish which was supposedly good for 3-4 persons. In the end, we were bloated and sleepy, but every bit satisfied. For the place, we were lucky enough to arrive before the dinner... read more
First time at The Cook since we were looking for a quiet place to eat and was surprised that the place wasn't too busy on a Saturday night. Ambiance was quaint with the odd element of large teddy bears at most of the tables. We ordered the Pork Steak Pilaf and the Calamansi Ade as both were said to be good for 2 people. Wasn't too impressed by the Ade as it was just calamansi halves in soda water with crushed ice. It took a while for the calamansi flavor to really spread throughout the drink and even then it was most just soda. The pork steak in itself was nicely tasty and cooked well. The rice pilaf also had some great flavor to it and the garlic and onion slices added nice flavor. The only challenge is that there was only so much pork, a heck of a lot of pilaf and not as much vegetables as hoped. I was hoping for a bit more variety in flavors but instead you just get a lot of one flavor so it gets a little boring after a while. As far as being a fusion restaurant, our meal definitely felt more Italian than Korean. The dish is served with no frills and none of the sorta of sides and sauces we've come to appreciate from typical Korean restaurants. It's definitely a place that is chef-driven given a very limited menu of pretty much the meat options but with either a salad, pasta or pilaf. But they one that there's not much to say as you end up getting committee to whichever large plate you order.

Passed this place several times been enticed by the door display of their menu replica. Yesterday is the day to try this wasn't expecting much as I've seen may be the display is not as generous as the actual serving but I was wrong. Ordered the best seller the pork steak salad, lava cake as dessert, peach ade as beverage and steamed rice. The serving of the pork steak salad is huge, pork well cooked ,love the sauce that comes with it sweet and a bit salty.,????????.Salad veggies of lettuce, beetroot, tomatoes, red radish ,corn kernels ,red cabbage, pineapple and even fries combined with Japanese mayo is very good, and it comes with fried egg too. The peach ade was very refreshing ,sparkling drink with real peach in it,love to the the lychee version too.Its like drink champagne sans the alcohol content. And no unpleasant feeling when you have an acidic stomach. The chocolate lava cake was a dandy, super moist cake with rich choco chips topped with vanilla ice cream. Quality of rice very good. Service and staff off the charts. Place cozy ,good lighting and I love the red teddy bear. Korean restaurant with a western inspired menu.Im not a western food guy but I super like this restaurant will come back again very soon.???????????????? Super value for money, awesome experience and the pickled sayote too.????
