A little pricey but you do get what you pay for. They have one of the best chirashi bowls in the city (as long as all ingredients are available that day). The Uni is particularly fresh and I really enjoy it here versus most other Japanese places. Service is pretty decent but don't be afraid to use the call button to get assistance when dining outside or upstairs. View all feedback.
What Julio Tromp doesn't like about Keizo Gastro Pub:
I last ate here about a year ago and I was disheartened to see that they have not been able to maintain the food quality despite there being a Japanese chef. I had the salmon salad and the lettuce were all still stuck together and pieces weren't cut well. Also the tempura was too hard, too much cornstarch I'm guessing. Disappointing. Service is ok though. Best Japanese restaurant in BGC. I love their tori momo and fresh sushi made by their very own Japanese chef! I also tried their new poke bowls and their wagyu sticks! Perfect combo!
Keizo is quite small but good for small gatherings with friends or family (as long as it is just a small group). I have eaten here four times. In my opinion, sushi and rolls are the best! I have tried the Chicken Katsudon and I found it too sweet. I also ordered beef yakiniku. However, it was not too tender. But don't get me wrong, it still tastes great! Rice is a bit expensive here, especially since it is only good for one person. D; For the stuff you MUST order - We tried the Aburi Tuna Sashimi and it was heavenly. It's P350 per serving, around 6 thick slices. If you love Tuna Sashimi, you'll love this. :) We also ordered the Spicy Tuna Rolls, tell them you want Tempura bits. For only P280, you have 8 delicious rolls! Will definitely go back to visit, for the rolls! Super delicious and not too expensive. :)
Keizo in Burgos Circle has a second floor that feels elite and alfresco dining, the ground floor although small is still not crammed. The SPICY TUNA SALAD was addicting but it can be made better with more lettuce. Gyoza, miso soup and ebi tumpura maki is OK. The mix sushi is fresh and I love the fact that it includes Ika with the order. I don't like my CHAHAN to have bell peppers and Keizo does not serve with it (yey!). I didn't like the BEEF USUYAKI, the meat is a little tough and bland for me, also it tastes a bit off. When in burgos circle and craving for Japanese food, Keizo will not fail to deliver.
